About me... Experience in Non-Fiction and Fiction
I am Gina Burgess. I'm passionate about reading, writing, and editing Christian Fiction. I am also just as passionate about non-fiction. I earned my Master’s in Communication and Professional Writing from Spring Arbor University, specifically so I could teach professional writing. I discovered I enjoyed editing so much I decided to focus on freelance editing in the Christian writings field. I am committed to providing high quality editing services for veteran and newbie authors, and for publishers.
I have extensive experience in editing from newspapers to blog posts, book-length fiction and short stories. I also have experience in editing works of authors who have English as their second language. I love helping people become excellent writers.
I've been the Lifestyles Editor at my hometown newspaper in Picayune, Mississippi, as well as editor for several other publications. My first love is using my God-given talent to shine a light in a dark world, and I am so committed to bringing God glory with my skills.
I am the author of several books (both fiction and non-fiction), numerous grant proposals, hundreds of articles, and write a weekly column for LiveAsIf.org (since 2006).
I am a graphic artist designing numerous webpages and logos. I've been painting and writing since I was a teenager (and that is too long ago for you to know).
